Dr. Rosen (USA) spoke about how Osstell can be used for everyday clinical decisions concerning dental implants. He provided the audience with some good examples of the importance of re-measuring – that is, taking a new ISQ reading after the initial procedure – before final restoration to avoid unnecessary failures and costs. Dr. Rosen also stressed a few typical cases where he uses ISQ, such as immediate placement, patients with type 1 diabetes, and patients for whom a prior implant failed.
