Prof. Buser (Switzerland) presented his experience of Osstell, accumulated over nine years. He began his presentation with an overview of the university’s general strategies for implant therapy. The focus then moved to the two main areas where the university uses Osstell – early loading in standard posterior implant sites and in cases of sinus floor elevation. According to Prof. Buser, patient management is much easier with Osstell. Normally, simply add healing time until the ISQ value is good enough to proceed. The actual value depends on the clinical situation, but "for daily practice" Prof. Buser targets an ISQ value of 70 for early loading protocol with routine patients.
